it's a great watch either way ... I got the COSC model as it was a gift from my wife , wouldn't have cared either way .... I'm seeing alot of talk about how the COSC version could be in limited numbers IF and a big IF rolex changes to a ceremic bezel and goes maxi dial .... but I just love the look (non cyclops )

thanks for listening

I would tend to prefer the non COSC version. Imho, the lacking COSC writing makes for a cleaner looking dial. Besides that, the movement is the same in both models.

Yeah, so funny. With the same movement, but one with COSC and the other non COSC.

I like the no COSC version much more. It`clean, reduced to the essential, some kind of back to the basics.

Hey question:

If both versions have the identical movement, then is the COSC model theoretically more accurate than the non-COSC?

BTW, I like the non-date sub better. It is definitely an old-school classic.

Non COSC cleaner, traditional almost like the 5513. Still, the COSC's cool too, but the RRR is kinda distracting .

I think no. Both is accurate. But one model pay more to get certificate of accurate and the other no.

Non-COSC for me. I think the COSC writing is a shade pompous and unnecessary to me.
I like mine anyway-it's beautiful !

Cosc

I like the balance of the COSC dial MUCH more, reminds me of a new 5512.

COSC is my preference, but I would not say no to either.

I got my Non COSC 14060M in January once I found out they were changing the dial.
I like the clean design without all the text.
From what I have read the recent ND Subs are mechanically the same whether they say COSC or not.

COSC. I look at the potential value of the piece in 10-20 years' time and I think cosc will hold value better. Also, I feel that the no-cosc is too "empty" on the dial. I like the scribbles there.

Me too. Got mine a few months prior. I wanted the earlier classic design while it was still available new.

Err buddy TR...Orchi would concur with the folks here who would prefer simplicity of the 14060 ND Submariner...

Orchi also thinks...sooner or later...if Rolex has not done so by now...they would eventually phased out any of their remaining Non COSC watch models...

That said...Orchi would say that subsequently the Non COSC ND 14060 Submariners(with Tritium Dial) would be more collectible...like its predecessor 5513 Sub.

Good luck buddy...!

I have a non COSC that I purchased in February. I like the clean look of the dial over the COSC version. That said, they both are gorgeous watches.
