These are called 'Floating Hands' by some. There seems to be moved emotions about these hands and the fact that the paint doesn't line up perfectly due to the size difference of each hand on the dial.
In the right light the 'Floating hands' really do seem to float and a second look is required.
I'm not that OCD, i just love the watch, hope you like yours too.
