93160 repair

I have a 16660 that the bracelet has had a pin that holds the clasp to the bracelet come out. I've tried to re-install it but, it will not stay. I think the holes in the clasp have become enlarged or the ends of the pins have worn down. I can still ware the watch with a replacement 93160A that I have but, would like to have the original 93160 repaired. Who would you recommend I take or ship it to for this repair?

Of course, now I can't get the pin out!!!
It came out on it's own when I was removing the watch about an hour ago.

So you are talking about the rivet? (Not a spring bar). Correct?

I believe Rolex will not repair that .

although you may find someone else who will., I wouldn't rely on that type of repair.

Replacement of the clasp is the best fix imho.

Yes, it does look like a rivet now that is pointed out to me. I'll start looking for a new clasp.

Replacement of those rivets is pretty common and any reasonably competent jeweler can do it. But the area around the rivet looks pretty chewed up. I might be inclined to replace the whole clasp.

Thanks for all the suggestions, was able to obtain a 93160 clasp in excellent condition. It's a different year then my 16660 but, looks good and is now safe to wear.

Me, I would weld the cracked area around the rivet hole, drill a new properly sized hole and install a new rivet.. You probably couldn't tell the repair was done..

Probably most any jewelry repair shop could do the job too .

Thank you for the advice Larry, Now that I have a useable bracelet of the correct type I think I'll take the damaged clasp in to my watchmaker for a look see. It never hurts to have a spare.
