A crown for every achievement!
Rolex has long had the slogan "A crown for every achievement." Just curious, what achievement spurred your acquisition of a fine Rolex watch? Personally, my first Rolex (the classic Sub Date 16610) was a reward to myself for finishing many years of training and finally starting my first real job.
C'mon, ladies and gentlemen, let's hear you brag on yourselves! |

My wife bought me my first Rolex to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary. I bought her first after the birth of our daughter.

I bought two for being a good husband and a great daddy. My next Rolex is to commemorate the birth of my new and last baby in June. Now, I need new excuses to buy more Rolexes. Your ideas are welcome guys.

Too young to have had enough momentous occasions - I just buy when the fancy strikes and funds allow.

I'm sorry to be boring, but I bought my first Rolex, because I saw many of the old type adverts in the magazines and fell in love with them.

I bought my first lv sub in florida while on my first nurse travel assignment. Of course I went to the AD just to look, fell in love right away. Of course my girlfriend at the time was with me..she was one of the "live in the moment" kinda of girl...so she helped to push me...Have to say, glad she did :)

Wow, congrats and whilst I am standing at attention I salute you Sir!
I bought my first when a friend from Hong Kong talked to me about Rolex, we went to a local AD and I had the opportunity of buying it tax free. The strange thing is I never gelled with that watch, sold it a few years later, and it wasn't until several years after that I bought another Rolex.

My first was a gift, a tritium dialed N-series 16610.
My second and third and fourth and fifth and sixth were purchased after I started work and decided I wanted all the sports models. I have since been able to control the voices in my head and bought other brands too |

I first purchased watched when I got a promotion at work. Back then they were higher end Movados. That started it all for me.... next was a few Omegas and most recently a Expy II that I found for a great price. In the future I will on if purchase Rolexes, and only if they are at a great price. I am a sucker for a GOOD deal.

I bought my first Rolex (an SS Sub Date) in 1989 on an impulse. I just happened to be browsing at an AD and my eyes caught the SS Sub Date. 15 minutes later, I left the store with the Sub Date on my wrist. Never knew what hit me!
So there's no grand achievement behind my first Rolex. Just love at first sight.

I bought my Yacht Master for my wedding in 2002. Went in for another Omega (I think it was a limited edition Gold Co Axial) & the salesgirl sat me down, said "This might suit you better". She then went to the safe & came out wearing white gloves & a Rolex box on a tray. Then all the customers gathered around me to see what was happening. Then there it was, a pristine brand new Yacht Master. I just fell in love all over again & had to have it...

My wife bought me mine for our wedding day. She brought me into an AD before we were married, told me to let her know what I liked, and I tried on the SD. Amazing experience, and we had a lot of fun going to several different AD's after the first one or two were either snotty or couldn't answer any basic questions about the watch.
She later bought it and stuck it in a safe deposit box until we were married .... I was like a kid on Christmas eve, but worth it when I put it on for the first time in the church right before we were married. |

My first Rolex was this SD (sold):
Followed by this GMTII 16710 (sold) about 3 months later on: I was living in Geneva for about two months at the time...and fell in love with this, purchased a month later: ...Christmas '07 was nearing so I picked up this as a gift for my Mom... ...it was January, and for my 25th Birthday I decided to change the dial on my DJ.. ...and first-week February I got this beauty...

I purchased my bluesy when i made it as an intern in my doctor of chiropractic program.
Next, I plan on getting married in December this year and I will most likely celebrate by purchasing another watch, maybe a his & hers. |
