I would do the trade. It's an easy "mistake" to reverse if you find that she was right.

I with those who suggest keeping the pepsi they just keep going up in price and are a great iconic watch. The ceramic Sub will be around for a long time, make a plan to get it down the road and have both. A Sub and GMT pepsi make a nice pair.

your wife may know something you don't. If you really like the Sub, I would wait and purchase it outright so you can keep your GMT. IMHO, it's never the best idea to trade your Rolex, but always a good idea to add another..

Well your wife is not indifferent so that's great for a start. If it was the other way round I'm pretty certain your wife would have final say over her watch or jewellery so in the end it should be your choice.

Specially the good conditions ones... and their price keeps going up as mentioned here already.

I am with your wife on this one. Certainly not an upgrade in my eyes

I agree with your wife. I have a SS Pepsi GMT and I don't think the new sub is that awesome when comparing the two.

Cheers, Sarah

The GMT can tell time in 3 time zones and act as a rudimentary compass. The sub is a diving watch. Which isn't a knock but these are both tool watches... What tool is more relevant to you? Diving to 1000 feet or managing different time zones? Answer that and make your choice. P.S. the GMT will go to 300+ feet.

My wife supports any watch purchase I make...as long as its a Rolex.

If I buy a new Omega and show it to her, for example, her response is just "Oh."

You may try convincing her you need them both.

Wouldn't trade Pepsi for sub. Like many others have said, save up for the sub if you really like it. There are many subs out there, but Pepsi with really good condition and reasonable price is getting harder and harder to find.
