Wife refused to wear Rolex...
My wife adamantly doesn't not want a Rolex, Omega, Tag, etc...she will not let go of her Fossil watch which I seriously think having it flushed.

Let your wife become a member here, and soon she will be owning a minimum of 2 Rolex watches to wear - with pleasure!
What about the Fossil then? Well, it will live up to its name. ![]()

That's kind of funny. I never thought of that. Now, as part of our "date question" for the single guys here would be:
"Hey, do ya like Rolex?" ........ (pause) ......... "What about a Ducati?" ........ (longer pause) ....... |

Yep, same here. My wife adores her Omega Constellation (quartz) and can't get her out of it.

I got the Rolex and my wife wanted a new camera. I spent half of what I did on my Rollie for the camera AND she can take really good pics of MY watch with HER camera. She's happy with her Nike and Invicta watches.

I have yet to meet someone who enjoyed the lines of women's Rolex. If anything, I think the men's versions are nice on their wrists, but for something dressy, I'd go for another brand.

I purchased his and hers DJ TT's about 2-1/2 years ago. I love mine, my wife wasn't overly thrilled with hers, but she wore it regularly. Earlier this month I purchased a SS Air King for her and a SS GMTIIc for me. She is in love with the Air King, so much more than the lady's DJ. She's on line looking at Rolex sites, studied her crystal to fine the crown etching, and has be come a real Rolex affectionado.
I think it has to do with the size of the watch. The lady's DY was just too small for her (she's an RN, and it was very difficult to take pulses with the second hand), not to mention the clean look of the Air King. She's a size queen I guess (but not a queen size). |

my wife loves her new platinum ym. she wears it for most of her day to day activities and a 18k yg bulova for dressier occasions as it is smaller and has a few diamonds on the bracelet. for rough service sport activities she wears a 40mm platinum marcus ruby chrono with diamond hour markers divers watch. it has a eta quartz and is bullit proof for above and under water activities. for her next watch she wants a yg tt ladies date just with the hidden clasp and a black dial with diamond hour markers. she has no problem with rolex at but she does like others also.

People comment that it's a good thing because it just means more funds for our watch purchases, but I have found it very difficult as she just doesn't 'get it'. If she was a fan of the quality and craftsmanship that goes into producing a quality mechanical watch, I think it would be an easier sell when I try and purchase new watches. Instead, it always seems to be the same complaint coming from her, "Oh god...WHY are you paying that kind of money for ANOTHER watch???" I was thinking of surprising her with a Rolex for our upcoming anniversary, but the more I think about it, the more I think she probably would rather I spend the money on taking her away on a romantic getaway trip for a few days. |
