Two choices

Guys I have found a great opportunity. I have found someone who have two lovely PAM's in mint shape and he wants to sell just one. I can pick up either the 233 or a 422. Forget cost and other pieces, which is a more desireable reference. I have tried both on and love them both.

422. Can't get past the 233 fang PR on the dial. Love my 422. Keeper.

Good luck with your decision.

233 for the 8-day + dome + GMT + more manageable size + PR on dial + faster strap changes + brushed case/polished bezel.

Both are great references, but the 422 just pips it for me.
That said, as a daily wearer the 233 might work better.
Bottom line: can't go wrong either way.

This and the fact that the 233 wears so nice on the wrist, makes mine a keeper as long as I have a wrist to put it on.

233 for all the reasons already mentioned above. Good luck.

Tough call - both are awesome PAMs!

You really need to think back to when they were on your wrist and perhaps you can recall which one seemed to "fit" you the best. Not only in terms of diameter, but case shape and generally speaking, which ever one really felt "at home".

If you still need a tie-breaker...

Function over form (233) or form over function (422)?

233: GMT, date, immediate access to the PR indicator and most importantly, 8 days PR... (!). But there's form in there too - original 1950 case, awesome dome crystal and still the best lume color on a PAM to date!

422: old-skool size & looks, awesome-looking "sleeper" PR on the back of the mvmt, plexi look with the benefits of sapphire, best-of-both-worlds case with a subtle cushion form. Functionally, a sub-secs dial that immediately lets you know your PAM's still powered up!

Love them both and wish you luck with such a difficult decision...

I had the same dilemma last year. Always loved the 233 and then I fell in love with the 422 at the Florence boutique. I thought about it for months and finally bought the 233. It has so much character and the added complications make it more fun IMO. I also prefer my PAMs to be 44mm because I wear them often and they look better on my wrist
