Saw several of these modified pieces in a boutique at the mall next to Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore. Unique for sure but just not my taste.

When you search Google for Hercules + Rolex several fake watch sites will pop up...

Why do you ask?

Do you genuinely like their product / want actual buyers to chime in or???

Haven't heard of Hercules before, but i have heard of Bamford and Label Noir. Pretty legitimate I'd say.

Hmm, not something I would want done to a Rolex.. but to each their own. My only concern with having a watch like that is scratches would really show. A stainless steel or any precious metal watch do fine with scratches.. but having a coating like that.. you'll see a bunch of grey scratches showing through in no-time and it will look like crap.

Haven't heard about Hercules as well but I saw a brand called Blaken. http://www.blaken.com

Definetely gorgeous but not my style. Also the prices are ridiculously high.

I know I have seen / heard of companies that do this.. but specific company names don't come to mind. Sorry, I have not heard of them.

just out of curiosity I searched the matterial and it says that it is more durable and scratch proof than the original Rolex oyster bracelet.

It's just something that I read, so I won't believe it before I see w my own eyes but just sayin...

After the coating, the second thing that I hated was engraved named of the brands...
Why would anyone other than Rolex would strach their names on the dial?
It's just not cool.

dont really see the problem with liking modified watches, if (like me) you dont like them that is an equally respectable opinion, but it is not respectable to attack those with a different opinion

pro hunter is an established brand that does this I believe it is UK based as well not heard of Hercules

BTW there are 2 types of coating, PVD and DLC, i believe DLC is more scratch resistant but costs more, if it is scratched it is likely PVD

If you want to ruin a Rolex by painting it than you might as well do it yourself. Go to home depot and buy some black high temp paint and a roll of painters tape. Tape off everything you dont want painted then spray away. This will save you thousands of dollars. I have personally seen a Deep sea dweller that a customer spent thousands on havingi it PVD coated and after 2 years of wear it was chipped everywhere. Atleast with the paint you could always touch it up whenever you accidentally smack your wrist into a door jam.

Pretty hard to improve on perfection; Rolexes are a work of art and shouldn't have irreversible modifications done to them. I'd love to see a day date modification done.

the pvd looks awful as it wears especially in the cracks of the links.
Also resale value takes a hit.
