Congrats on 45 years. Not far behind at 43.

For me all YG is cool. Diamonds on a man's watch, again for me is over the top.
I know that everyone's taste is different and I don't begrudge anyone for liking a diamond dial or bezel. But just not my cup of tea.

Just a quick word to say thank you for the good wishes on being soon to reach the 45 years anniversary, that rather surprised me.

The one lesson you learn with getting on in years is "don't do it tomorrow, do it today." In other words, if you want that Rolex, the sooner you buy it, the longer you got to enjoy it.

Since retiring 5 years ago, we spend at least 5 months each year touring Europe and wearing a Rolex adds a lot of pleasure to an already enjoyable experience.

Regards

Mick

Congratulations, Mick. So long as you remain stoic, understated and conservative with your Explorer, let your wife enjoy her beautiful timepiece.

Just remember: once you go gold you'll never grow old !

Congratulations on the big 4 5! Bought this for my wife and doesn't wear it anymore as it's difficult for her to see the time. I had changed the original champaign dial as it was even worse to decipher.. Sent it down to Rik Dietel recently to do a complete service. Rick does great work. (Photo prior to sending to Rik)

Congrats on 45 Mick!

Have you considered a diamond bezel? The factory diamond bezels are truly stunning on the ladies watches.

Yellow or rose gold?

There is no shame in changing an opinion, or even making a concession to please your better half.

Huge congrats on the anniversary. That is a beautiful story you have together.

Hi Abdullah

The 45 years is actually in June, so I am about 4 months short but she has been talking heck of a lot about a gold Rolex after looking inside the local AD. So this is a pressie 4 months in advance.

The advantage of going up to London is the sheer choice available and at the moment she wants a 31mm yellow gold with a diamond face. She also fancies a 26mm version, so it's all up in the air until she walks into the shop.

However she can have what she wants, so yes she could come back with anything.

Regards

Mick

I'm perplexed that any guy could go as long as you have, including 45 years of marriage, before doing something shameful he thought he'd never do in a million years for the sake of a woman. That's gotta be some kind of record! I don't think I made it past my 16th birthday before I caved-in. Are you just bragging?

Congrats on 45 years

Absolutely gorgeous watch, Ken, hands down the perfectest DayDate that I've ever seen!!

Am I allowed to ask, if it's WG or PT?

~~~I dunno...Dr. Kerr posted a pic of his gold sub with diamonds on the dial not that long ago...I'd wear that one in a heartbeat
Just a quick update, she opted for a 31mm solid gold with a President braclet and diamond numerals, so at the moment, she is like a cat with the cream.
I will send some pics in soon.
