Hologram Question

I was just in an nearby AD looking at an M series 16613 blue, and noticed there was nothing on the back but a very small green plastic strip (odd-shaped) and nothing else. The salesperson said it had just come in the past week, and that Rolex had done away with the hologram and other plastic on the back for 2008. Does anyone know whether that is accurate ?

There havn't been holograms on the back for a while now..

Usually a clear plastic sticker is there for scratch protection now, with a stripe thlrough it so it can be readily seen...

Yes. Even the model number on the clear caseback sticker has been removed on the M-series. The line is red on my caseback sticker on the SD, btw.:
