DSSD D-Blue Cameron 116660

Looks like the prices of the new and used D-Blue is dipping slightly. I hadn't realized the premium these command over the regular (but still handsome) DSSD from the trusted sellers.

I haven't seen any dip in the prices of the Deepsea blue.. Could be a great collectors piece this one I feel.

There falling fast over in the UK just below 10k but still over list price ,
There where at over 12k a few weeks ago and I've warned of this in recent posts .
There was no steel sports stock in the UK for about minimum of 6 months but there now coming back through the pipeline the used watches are being sold for more than new watches !

Quite a few on the sale section going BNIB were sold recently at $12 advertised; meaning there was probably even more room for negotiation. The used prices are within $250-500 of new. A year ago this time they were in the high $12's, some even $13K. Just an observation.

Yeah...I think there has been some leveling of the D-Blue price. But it still remains pretty strong to retail.

I know of someone who just paid 10 900 pounds.

He wanted it for his 50th.
Apparently all the AD's explained to him he might have to wait a very long time.

But, with the price increase from 8250 to 9100 it makes it a bit more sensible in price.

Personally - I don't care if the price comes down - I'm never selling mine....love it

Weird, just thinking this today as well

Bobs Watches App opened up with one for $11,300, which I thought a reasonable price

Noticed that about the BLNR too. I think once they've been out a while, price starts to level out.

Where can you buy one for below £10k in the UK, except an AD?

Grey market prices are holding steady, only one or two went above £12k and they were on Watchfinder. One is still there now, it hasn't been reduced.

Watches.co.uk and Blowers are both charging £11k for a stickered piece.

I was thinking this too.

Watchfinder have several 2016 models and the cheapest is £11,450. They also have one at £12,310.

Regardless of price, it's such a great piece. I really enjoy wearing it and it won't be going anywhere.

Haven't noticed that about either DSSD Blue or BLNR. Prices have remained steady and strong on both. Both are high demand pieces and allocation watches which prices clearly reflect.

Ah - eBay, fair enough. That's still not less than 10k though, and a lot of those D-Blues have been on eBay for ages. I think it'd take a very brave man to part with that kind of cash for such an expensive watch on eBay. I know I'd never do it.

For the kind of eBay fees they're going to pay, they'd be better off selling it to Watchfinder who are still paying very strong money for D-Blues (in excess of the asking price for a couple of them on there.)

I've been monitoring prices at the main grey and secondhand dealers, although the momentum skyward has slowed up, prices definitely aren't getting any lower. At the end of the day, I guess that's good news for us both as owners!

I was using the pricing trends from the trusted sellers on TRF as reference in this particular instance. I was contemplating reacquiring the piece, after I let it go and regretted it. Great reference.

Sorry, I'm in my own little cocoon, pricing here in the UK doesn't really track the US, especially with the collapse of the pound.

I agree that prices in the US are very gradually decreasing, I have kept an eye on those too :) it's still a harder to find piece in ADs though, and I guess if/when it's discontinued, prices will creep back up.

Since I bought one I haven't worn anything else. I was concerned the divers clasp would be too big, the watch too heavy, blabla. In reality it's the most comfortable watch I own, I love it! Wouldn't be without mine now. A lot of people comment on it too, but not in the sneering way they do on my Day Date or other more ostentatious pieces.

I love my D blue but do you really think prices going to creep back up once it gets discontinued in 2017?

If it is discontinued the price will definitely rise. It's hard enough to get hold of in the UK whilst they are actually making it, will be even worse if it's discontinued.

How do you know it's going to be discontinued in 2017? Only Rolex (and Haywood) know and neither have made an announcement. Anything else is just conjecture.

Again, from the managers of the factory in switzerland, the D-blue will not be discontinued in 2017.

They only spoke about a new movement inside (Black dial or D-blue, I don't know both or only one model)
