I was 32 when I got my SS/platinum YM in 2001. It was the Valentine's Day before my 10th anniversary, and we had no children (i.e. no college tuition to save for).

Bryan, I think some early senility is setting in. See post #29 (and then you were only 37 - my how you've aged in just a few posts).

29 and most young ppl can't afford them so they pretend they don't like them as a defense mechanism.

I got my one and only Rolex at 37. Started with a Tag at 24. Got married and watches were not one of my priorities until 35 when I started buying my Omegas, IWC, Seikos, Oris and some vintage pieces.

Now I know what is the best for me. R.O.L.E.X!!!!!

I was 28 when I got my first one. My wife gave me a GMT-II last year for our wedding. Since then I've caught the bug and have purchased two omegas and two more rollies this year. Still waiting for the Daytona call.

Bought my first black face Milgauss about 1 year ago at age 35. Have bought about 15 more since then. I think I like Rolex's too much.

I love my GMT2 and I worked soooooooo hard to save up to buy it. But why all the Rolex hate there? Take care all Dan
I was 27 when I bought my first Rolex in 1987, which was GMT-Master II. I don't think age should be any deterrent when it comes to buying any watch - if you like it and have the money, then go for it. You're getting a robust, handsome timepiece that will last a lifetime.

Came late to Rolex. Didn't appreciate the brand when I was in my 20's, 30's.
