116613LB too flashy?

Hi Esteemed Rolex experts!

Recently I have gotten an itch to buymyself a TT Sub. Either the 116613LB or the 116613LN.

I actually like both but the Blue obviously stands out more, and is unique with the Blue brushed dial, as opposed to the 116613LN which is abit more subtle but still nice too.

Do you guys find the TT too flashy? I have only 1 gold watch in my collection but its a WG Lange so its very under the radar. Probably the "blingiest" is maybe my daytona?

Is the Blue TOO MUCH in your face? I want to wear it quite often at work etc.

Let me know! THank you

It's a matter of opinion.

Any watch with YG is too flashy for me. The fact that you are asking the question probably means you agree with me.

I wear mine daily. Never had a comment about it. If you like it get it. It's a great daily watch.

I find TT Subs to be quite flashy and attract a bit more attention than my other watches. As funny as it sounds, I will often leave my TT in the watch box and wear my 116619 Smurf because it flies under the radar a bit more:)

Yeah its true. You do make a good point. But I was wondering if this was something you "get used to" if that makes sense. Like with AP ROO, PANERAI they are big watches, but you get used to the size and it no longer bothers you.

So was wondering with TT wearers, whether at first they found it flashy but they quickly got used to it, or they hesitate to wear it at times due to the attraction it draws.

I am not a YG guy, having said that, TT models are exceptionally good looking watches. I think the answer to your questions is pretty simple, if you are comfortable and it makes you happy, wear it. If not, then stick with a SS (or all WG).

Have had the 116613LB and 16618LB - and without any doubt - the TT is more bling and attracts more attention than the YG Submariner. There's just something with the 3 different contrasting stuff; steel + YG + blue.

I like both models, though.

Well let's see, 50% says too flashy and 50% says not flashy at all.

Who are you going to pick?

I wear a YG sub daily and for the last 10 days that I have had it, there have been no negative comments from anyone. Do people notice ? I don't care as I didn't buy the watch for that reason.......and if it mattered to others there is nothing they could do that would materially affect my life.

The Bluesy is a "A type" personality watch. To me the TT Blue Sub is the most beautiful watch Rolex makes. I have worn mine everywhere from diving, work, and even mowing laws. I love that its flashy and beautiful. I never would have even thought of asking if its too flashy for me. What anyone else thinks can go pound sand as I wear the watch and it doesn't wear me.
Perhaps the fact that you are asking is a sign its not the look for you.

Just wondering..... why are you concerned about what others think? It's your money, your life.

I love my Bluesy! I don't feel it's too flashy at all. It's a rich looking watch. If you have doubt, it's probably not the one for you.

I think it is flashy and certainly not under the radar! But I love mine!
IMHO not a watch for a "single watch guy", you need it together with a nice SS one for "low key" days.

My answer is definitely yes. More importantly is some are comfortable with wearing that flash and some are not. Which are you?

I had the 16613 at some point which is a great watch by all means but after a while I started thinking it was flashier than I watned my daily watch to be.

I tend to agree with Loevhagen that the TT Bluesy is flashier than a solid gold Rolex.

Maybe 116713 is the answer to your question

I love my Bluesy, but I agree with those who say that if you think you might be self-conscious, you will be.

Aside from the glare off the lights in my office, I have never considered the watch as too flashy.

If my workplace was a little more "business casual" instead of a startup environment, I'd probably own a 116613LB instead of my 116610LN. When I can wear death metal t-shirts to work, I find myself doing just that.

LOL. Not flashy at all. It's a good watch. I had it for a month before I traded it for solid gold sub. I feel TT is too mature for folks under 40.

As you have other watches in your collection go for the beautiful Bluesy, live a little, and thank us later.

I had one and thought it was beautiful. However, it was too flashy for me and got a lot of attention. I flipped it for a black sub and some cash. Much happier now.

No this is a classic piece. I'd say it's very versatile and not over the top. The blue and gold is a beautiful combo
