Tried the Deep Black on today, love it... I just picked up a Cartier Diver watch two months ago. This one, http://www.cartier.com/en-us/collect...ver-watch.html

Like it, don't love it. Debating getting rid of it and grabbing the DB.

The deep black is gorgeous watch. I didn't think I would like it but when I tried it on I fell in love. I will get it once the prices on the pre-owned market drop a little more on this piece.

This is where I was... fit a lot better than I would've thought given the specs, wears lighter, very comfortable. Just a real solid watch.

What do you think they'll come down to? Lowest I've seen one sell for on this board is about $6,500.

I tried one yesterday, the one with the blue trim. Not a fan of that one, I'd go all black.

As for fit, my wrist is 7.25" and it is indeed very comfortable and unbelievably light. I think for the money though, it doesn't feel like a S$16k (US$12k) watch. Even with a 20% discount, I wasn't much more than mildly tempted.

I'm going to take a look at the day/night GMT when I get a chance. It seems a lot of watch for over S$5k less, but even then, I'll wait til they filter onto the used market.

For the size, it is surprisingly comfortable. I've seen them on here NIB from reputable sellers for $7k.

My gut says in about 12 months you'll be able to find good condition used between $5-$6k. When it's in that range, I think it's a great watch at that price.

Is this too big?

Different shots and angles.

For comparison, it would replace this:

Omega has great designing on these larger watches with the way they proportion the lugs and curve them to minimize the size of the watch in terms of how they wear visually/physically. Very comfortable indeed. From these pics I don't see anything that'd say the watch is too large for you.

Thanks!

Yea, it doesn't wear as big as the specs. Certainly light due to being ceramic/rubber.

Conflicted here.

Pre-owned market on these prob won't start getting filled for 12-18 months. I'm already seeing them trickle out, as you can see in the listing above.

He has it for $7,200 or B/O, supposedly purchased BNIB in April 2017. If you take this link at face value, ebay takes 10% (I believe), shipping o/n insured is prob another $150-$200ish. Hypothetically, he accepts an offer for $6,400, the net to him is about $5,560 - so if you're close by to this seller, you can already find it for that price.

In 12-18 months, I think sub $5k is very possible to find it and it might be worth waiting. Omega didn't do themselves any favors how they priced this one, IMO of course.

Thanks for the information. I agree with you and will try and wait it out. I also think we may see this in the 5k range in the future.

I wonder when omega will realize that they are pricing their watches a little too high. Maybe if they only had that reference it would command more on the grey market but by releasing so many deep black versions they have diluted the value in my opinion.

Still a gorgeous watch I aim to get someday.
