5131p is a totally different animal from the g or r. I recall a certain user here at TRF who had both G/R and had many gifts from Patek and still did not get the chance to buy a 5131p. So to the OP congratulations to being invited to the exclusive club.

I know nothing but read a thread from a guy on puristpro who has all four and claims all four from the same AD. To the OP: congrats!! 2019 is just around the corner. What other watches do you own or did you buy? Just curious what “ it takes.” Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Correct. The UK is much stricter in all aspects whether it be allocation, holding papers, transport boxes etc. I doubt you will see too many pieces at greys from the UK.....

I guess timing will also be determined by when it's the AD's turn to get an allocation. Not too sure how it will work in Spain but certainly in UK they try spread it out a bit.

Huge congratulations. I have asked for it as well, I do not have confirmation I will get one. I think the all Platinum with the enamel is just amazing.
My take on allocation is: It's a tough spot for the AD's, they need to reward those that have bought and been loyal and also spread the love around to satisfy other clients. |

Funny thing is each Patek AD is different from another, so getting ahead on waiting lists depends on a lot of factors, established purchases, perceived future potential, PP allotment, etc.
5131s in the US are incredibly difficult to obtain in the US because of demand in the States and established client lists at each AD. I do know that they are protecting these pieces from the grey market more now than ever. PP is making a big push so that ADs don't deliver watches Sealed or Double Sealed any longer; they have instructions to open the watch in front of the clients... We'll see how that plays out. Rolex kind of did the same for Daytonas 116500 instructing them to take all plastics off yet we see many in the grey without plastics so who knows... |

Just a data point, when I picked up my Aquanaut from my AD this week the watch was unsealed in front of me and the infamous brown shipping box was destroyed (ripped up) right there. My AD mentioned that they are under strict orders now from Patek to unseal watches when sold and destroy the shipping boxes immediately. |
