Are there any owners of the 5396R-012 on the PP Discussion Forum?

If there are any owners of the 5396R-012, perhaps you could share your thoughts and any pictures? This is a piece that continues to creep into my considerations...

Yes, show yourselves! That exact ref would be my first choice AC.

I tried on the 5396r-011 a few days ago at my AD. I too prefer the Breguet numbers but they didn’t have that one in stock. Both are beautiful and the 012 is at the top of my wish list. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how it’s hard to see the 24 on the 24 hour ring. But I can live with it!

Not an owner but it was in my sights when I was choosing my AC. I eventually went for the 5146R. As you asked for pics here is one when I was trying it on in the AD.

Thank you for your picture!

I am surprised that there are no owners of this piece - it appears to have been rather unpopular, but I don't know how popular the initial 5396R variant is.

I have one. Got it a month ago from a trusted seller here. I LOVE the look of it. But it's somewhat small for me... I'm a big guy though, 6'6"...

Here are some pics, including a size comparison with my daily wear for the last few years, an IWC Portofino 8-day power reserve in rose gold. That one is 45mm, which, I think, is part of the problem. I've become used to a BIG watch. The 5396r-012 is 38.5mm.

Are you sure? Looks better on you than the IWC which is very rotund.

agreed. It looks good and especially so for a dressy watch.

I use to be a big watch guy too so maybe this isnt the watch for you but if you are like me once you find the right smaller watch then everything comes together and the size or lack of won't even be a concern.

Im 6'6 also and 42mm is about the biggest i would wear these days.

+1. Give the Patek some more time on the wrist before deciding if it is for you.

Patek fit is ideal there. IWC looks out of proportion.

I agree, that IWC looks far too big. The Patek looks good. I’m 6 ft 3 and anything over 40mm looks big on me as my wrists are
slim.

IMO, the 24 hr function is useless after you set the watch.
