BMW 750 m sport — does anyone have it? Thoughts?

I am thinking of moving ahead on this vehicle. I haven’t had a 7 series and wanted to get some solid opinions about the ride quality, ownership experience, etc - like are you bored with the car?

Personally I like the design, seemingly endless power and space. It’s either this or a S560..

This one is fully loaded with all the tech stuff.

It’s hard to say no to the S Class.
The 7 is an amazing car to drive but I wouldn’t compare.

Ive purchased a dealt with several.

Go for the Mercedes, BMW’s are becoming more and more over complicated.

Besides, they’re as common as Toyotas

Not a fan of the color combo. Both are great choices. I’d be leaning towards the S class.

i would check out the s450, s560 and Lexus LS500. Or if you want to get something more sporty and cutting edge the Porsche Panamera.

Personally Im not the biggest BMW fan. For the same price you can get more.

Great car, but it’s gettin a refresh next model year. S just received it and is a bit more luxurious. The bmw drives better but the s floats better. Pick your poison, no wrong choice here.

Terrible interior colour, total mismatch with the exterior. You'll find it hard to offload when the time comes.

Would take BMW over MB - no question. Not a fan of that color, though.....

I’ve had a lot of S classes that’s why I am looking for a change. And something fun.

Also had a panamera and rather the 5 seat configuration.

S Class by a mile. It is on a complete different level. The next step above it would be like a bentley or rolls royce. I feel all bmws basically look the same. Mercedes is just on a higher level than bmw.

Hey Alex, the 7 series is always a stellar car, but when comparing it to the S class, this is where it may loose some luster. The biggest problem with the 7 series is they tank big time or resale. In fact, where I am, I have seen the BMW dealer discount these right off the bat on the showroom floor more than 20k. A close friend of mine went and bought one in 2016 because he could not pass on the deal. I warned him as he asked of my opinion but went ahead. Within a year, he had a massive engine failure. BMW replaced the entire engine, and the car still gave him some issues. Granted, this can happen to any brand or car. Never the less, after a year, he went to trade it in on a S class and he was offered for his BMW, another 35k lower than what he paid for it. SO, he purchased it with a 22k discount, then a year later he still was offered on a trade at 35k less. He contacted all sorts of whole salers within a 500km radius and this in fact was the real number on the car. So, beware.

Nicholas, thanks for the post. I am getting it for a 29k discount (basically 129k sticker). I am looking for a comfortable and fun daily in this particular deal.

I’ve so many S classes, from 550 to 63 and was thinking of changing it up a bit. The engine failure thing is tough to deal with. I had an A8 4.0L that was taken back by the dealer because of an issue they couldn’t fix.

BMW 750 m sport — does anyone have it? Thoughts?

My daily driver is a 750i w the M package. Not the new M7, which I still have yet to see in person. I LOVE this car. It’s got plenty of power. Every feature, comfort and convenience I could want. The ride is perfect and I enjoy getting in it every day. I live in Florida and log a lot of miles as everything is so spread out and the way this car drives is something to behold. I have clients and friends that own a 7 series too and feel the same way. Just a tremendous car.

Finally a post praising the BMW. Glad to see it.

I’m inclined to get it. Will see by next Friday.

I’m biased.

I’m so in love with my MB right now.

The 7 series is awesome. But I too would be looking S class.

I wouldn’t purchase an S class or 7. Lease only since 4 door sedans tank.

I’ve owned both cars and the 7 is much more enjoyable than the S driving wise, but the S is just something else.

In this price bracket the car to get is the new 2018 Range Rover or Rover Sport since they have been refreshed. I have the new G class on order, but I got something new so I’m probably letting that go.

I've got the BMW 550i GT with the full M-Package, which is built on the 7 Series frame, very similar, and the nicest ride I've had.

440 Hp, 450 lbs of torque, 8 cylinder twin turbo charged beast. It is an awesome ride - 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds.

You want a comparison between it and the Merc, check out Top Gear's review...it found the Merc wanting ("....Mercedes S63 AMG, you're fired!")....slightly different beasts, but an interesting comparison.

+1 for the range.

I don’t have the refresh. But damn, my 17 is a dream.

Best part about that video is when he gets thrown into the other side of the back seat.

Oldie but goodie video.

I had to lemon my S class after 3 months.

Out of the 2, I would do the 7. New A8 around the corner....

I don't have any personal experience with a 7 but I've had a 535xi m package & now on a 540xi m package and love them both, no issues other than minors things here and there. I have friends who have the 750i & one who had the 760i and all have loved them, again just minor things here and there nothing major.

My current 540xi m package is the same exterior color but the white(ish) leather interior. Very happy with my color combo. I've seen a few of my exact color match as an incoming from other members here.
