Relaxing underwater

My wife and I traveled to the Revillagigedo Islands (250 miles south of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula) last week to get some diving in. We saw some cool critters.

Not bad so far but we came to see something else......
I think my wife has spotted something new and is waving hello! Giant Oceanic Manta!

Then these guys joined our dive. It is pretty rare for them to swim with scuba divers and then one of them swam up and wanted a belly rub from each diver. Unreal from a wild dolphin!

We didn’t see whale sharks or humpbacks but still an amazing trip!

Awesome.
I miss diving so, so much.
Had to give it up due to medications causing excessive cramping.
My last dive was not a pleasant one as result and have never returned.

Sorry to hear. I can imagine that would have been bad.

Excellent - thanks for sharing that dive. I haven’t been beyond 3ATM since my teen years in Miami.

I do recognize some of those critters.

I was thinking the same!

I know people say they leave you alone but I’m such a pansy I could never be a diver

Actually only one dive of the week was below 100 ft. We were trying to get closer to the hammerheads for that dive. The rest of the time we were shallower.

We are not on their menu. You have a better chance of being bitten by your dog. lol

You get used to them around. My wife is very risk adverse and now she doesn't even notice when they are around. She only gets excited about the dolphins.

Beautiful pics. I really want to get certified. It’s on my short list and I keep telling myself to just get out there and do it. Your post has inspired me!
