Question on GMT Bracelets
Hi All,
I have a (n00by) question regarding GMT (namely 16710) bracelets and the piece by the clasp (I honestly don't know what to call it) and why it can be seen on either side of the clasp mechanism. Is it an era-specific thing? Is it a left hand/right hand orientation thing? Or is there a 'correct' side? Can someone enlighten me? Photos below. |

I have only ever seen it on the same side as the first image illustrates it.
Browse all the 16710 images of the bracelet her: https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/search?q=16710 |

No enlightenment to be had. It's the clasp link that connects to the bracelet halves.. Usually it is inside the clasp further in one of the micro-adjustment holes; these are at the furthest outside setting. In the case of the 93250, it's on the other side due to the divers extension.
Without that link you cannot connect the clasp - it's on all Oysters.

Part of the deployant folding clasp appears to be missing (cut away) in the top photograph?

Probably assembled the wrong way after service or the owner himself.
