Finally Incoming after 4 1/2 Months

I am so excited as I just got the call from my AD that my brand new BLNR has finally arrived! I had put a 20% deposit back in November 2017, so it was a long wait.

I was also a little worried with what was introduced at Basel last month and from all the rumors on this site and others, that this piece was discontinued, not available, sold to somene else, etc. Anyhow, worries are now over. Now it's just planning to make the short trip to Ottawa to get my prize. Decided to spend my money there instead of Montreal, as the main AD in Montreal just rubs me the wrong way. I am planning to pick it up in the next couple of weeks so I will post pictures then. Cheers!

Congratulations Charles

If I were you, and waited since last November ... I’d drop what I’m doing and go pick it up this afternoon

Unfortunately, I can't... But two more weeks is not the end of the world.

They could if I wanted to, but Ottawa is a short drive from Montreal.
I also want to get the whole Rolex experience in person. My present watch was handed down to me, so this is will be my first purchase.

There's a bit more to the story. I am getting the AD to provide me with an assesment of value concerning my 1680 Red. Back in November when I gave the deposit for the BLNR, I was also picking up my 1680 Red from their service department.

They are also an authorised RSC that understand the vintage thing. They do in house service. All parts that were replaced were returned to me. (Crown, tube, & Misc) Dial & hands were not touched

They basicaly told me that the piece I had was worth some serious $$ and sugested to get it insured. In order to do that, I need an appraisal, and two of their staff need to be there to do so.

It's a complete set with box and papers. I have a bezel with at font, a bezel with a mid fat font, and a bezel with a thin font. I actually just outsourced the rare "wave" booklet, and i will only be receing it around April 30.
The only items I need to complete the set is the red frog tag and the 200m anchor. I will eventually hunt them down. I wanted them to do the assesment with the wave booklet in hand. That's really why I'm giving it another 2 weeks

Well done! Post pictures of the BLNR and its 'older' cousin, 1680 after they get picked from the AD

I got mine in June 2017. It is an *amazing* watch. Incredibly functional. Incredibly beautiful. Congrats!! Enjoy it. It’s special.
