Well I also wouldn’t buy 5711 and 5712 at current grey prices, clearly too much for what they are, but very happy I got both at a good price, before the raise, the 5712 is probably my favorite watch, even before my Voutilainen, and it’s not a too shabby KV...

Everyone, I wore a 3700/1 in 1989, when I was about 29. If somebody can fell in love to a "watch"- than I guess I truly loved my Nautilus. After 20 plus years of wearing only that ONE watch (my watch), and having spent quite a bit of money on revisions and service over those years, I found it is time to move to something else.
I still treasure my 3700 but wear today a RLX GMT and do like it a lot.
Yes, it is not the same, I do know that, know that for fact.
This may sound super strange to you out there, but I never really appreciated or was pleased that the prices gone through the roof that much. I would have loved buying one day perhaps another model, perhaps a 5712 or the Chronograph versions- but every year it is gotten crazier, much like if a train slowly taking off, and while running behind, train is getting faster and faster- and you just can´t get on it anymore...
I stopped wearing mine, because even the maintenance became an investment.
But I still love chatting PP and sharing special moments.
Cheers, René

Please do post pics of your 3700! It's getting rarer by the day

Hi Rene. Welcome to the forum. Out of curiosity, how much did a 3700 cost back then?
