Jomashop showing Tudor GMT

I noticed on a random search that Jomashop is showing a Tudor Black Bay GMT (on leather) as being in stock. I'm curious how they'd get one at even a slight discount when they've just barely been released. Anyone have any thoughts?

Are they showing an actual photo of the watch? If not then they probably don't have one in stock yet.

I’m not sure they have it. I tried to pull it up on my phone and it isn’t showing a single photo.

If it says "contact for availability" it means they do not have it in stock.

Interesting. I would've thought if they have an "add to bag" they'd have one. Oh well.

Also, there was a picture in my search, but I thought my work computer was just blocking the image. False alarm I suppose

Isn't Joma known for having watches listed as in stock, only for the buyer to find out after they place their order that it wasn't in fact in stock and there will be a wait?

Most grey dealers are like this for a good chunk of the products on their site. There's no way to have millions of dollars of inventory just sitting there. So, an "available" watch is often a watch they know they can source. Every now and then, the watch turns out to not be available after all (The AD source managed to sell out, or somesuch). It happens. But in general, if they list a watch as available it means they're confident they can get one.

Discount is not going to be an issue. These guys claiming miles long lists and the ‘hype’ behind it.....this will be an incredibly short lived thing. It’s a Tudor....sorry, but just the fact. These will easily be at discount within months of release, if not immediately at your local AD.

Hope so, I intended for this to be my summer beater!

Yeah it’s a cool watch! Don’t take my post as a rag on Tudor, they’re putting out some awesome stuff. It doesn’t change the fact it’s a relatively new brand unknown to most people though. No way this watch will be pulling a premium or out of stock, dealers will be happy to negotiate to make a deal.

I definitely assumed a discount would be available relatively soon, I just didn't expect to see one at the outset. It makes more sense with the explanations about how Jomashop and other greys operate from above.

They are showing it at a 3% discount on bracelet. Probably not in stock yet but they should have it soon. If pre paid that will guarantee price. I bought a black bay from them just over a year ago and it was shipped new in box with tags but minus warranty card and books.

Even if Tudor doesnt have the prestige of Rolex, I'm still surprised its discounted from the get go

Placed an order for one, contacted them about when it's expected to ship, but they couldn't give me a date.
