Day-Date Real?

Hi everyone,
i have recently acquired this Day-date rolex off my grandfather, i would love to know more about it and if it was real.

Looks like a bad fake to me. Overall quality is off and that day window was never that small even on the oldest refs

The gold plating is wearing out on the edges of the bracelet, the ends of the bracelet (not sure of the technical name) between the lugs are a terrible fit. Sure signs that this is a fake.

I met a guy who wears his granddads old Rolex... he found out it was fake, and was bummed. He still wears it, and has enjoyed it for years. He also wonders if his granddad knew it was fake...

I am blessed with a real one, from my granddad! I Love It!
