Although this is just a click bait article, you have to realize that this is the perception that the average person has.
They are not wrong.

Didn't know a $9k watch (even if it was available at retail) is affordable these days. Interesting

I have never liked the Rolex GMT because of the busy "unbalanced" bezel and the 24hr hand.

Nothing new. All facts (except the "pepsi dial")

"The watch comes with a 70-hour power reserve, convenient for travelers on long plane rides who may not be able to move enough to charge it."
Where on earth are these people traveling too?

What? No one else travels with someone pushing you in a cart, then putting you in the seat and buckling the belt for you? It's the only way I travel to Dubai.

compared to the PM version OK maybe they have a point... however spending 9k for the Pepsi or 12k for a daytona or less for a Sub is sort of irrelevant if you dont want it. Prices are close enough in SS that price should never be the deciding factor, as its a lot of money either way.
BTW... whats up with this? "the case metal is another extra-hard Rolex invention called oystersteel" ... They invented the brand name of the steel, not the steel as i'm pretty sure its still 904L Edit. Padi beat me to it

Well they invented the name oystersteel just not the steel itself. They also have their own founderies and can process/alter it the way they want so technically oystersteel is correct.

It's gone from not being able to afford a Rolex to not being able to find a SS Rolex in store.

A Rolex really is affordable, just quit the daily coffee and eat at home more. Maybe even pass on that $7 craft beer. All of these things are as overpriced, if not more, than a Rolex. It's about where you want to spend your cash.

I saw this article, what a joke. "Affordable?" Ok, sure. Attainable? Not in this decade...
