Hmm I must say I've also not been a fan of the "flaps". They dig into my wrist at times and get uncomfortable when my wrist expands from heat. If I open up the EZlink and wear it looser then no pain issues.

They don't bother me in the least, but I really don't have anything else to compare it with, i.e. Everest. Maybe I just don't know any better.

For the time being, it stays in the collection.

It has room to move, not loose like a bracelet but I can get a finger inbetween the strap and my wrist....

I wouldn't want any watch I wear to have room to move toward my elbow like some i've seen wearing them(mainly women who have their mans watch on that hasn't been sized)

The ‘bracelet’ sticks out quite a bit due to the flaps but is supremely comfortable. I love it on my 116500.

Curious if the owners having issues with the flaps were fitted properly for the Oysterflex strap from the start or perhaps the strap is too tight?

These are meant to be slightly loose... not snug like you'd normally wear a rubber strap. Sizing correctly makes all the difference.

I agree. That's what kept me from buying YM on OF, even though I really like the look of it..

My initial setup was too tight, I would recommend leaving some gap so the underside of the band does not put indentations on your wrist. The OF are really comfortable when fitted properly.

I've had my Daytona OF for just one day, but I also thought the strap should be tight like a dress watch. But with the clasp that becomes painful. Mine is just loose enough that it may move down my arm due to the heaviness of the YG. However, the beauty of the bellows I now appreciate is that, when looking at the time, the watch does not "fall down" like with a slightly loose metal bracelet. It's always centered on the wrist.

I agree with this. The OF on my YM is quite comfortable and the flaps keep the watch from spinning off the top of my wrist when sweaty. I have a non Rolex on a rubber strap and unless I keep it super tight that watch tends to spin around the side of my wrist...

The WG 116519 is an amazing watch. A watch I have very little complaints about, but it's a little top heavy. If not worn very snug it can kind of flop around. It's a bit counterintuitive for a really hot day when you want to take advantage of the EZ Link and loosen it up.

So basically, their loyal customers who take a chance on a brand new model a few years back get screwed out of an awesome updated feature. Anyhow, that's why I sold my YM. Otherwise I found it to be an incredible watch, and for whatever reason (maybe cause it was a little too tight on me lol) I found the weight to be a little bit better balanced than the Daytona.

My YM has the Glidelock so very adjustable...I truly love the watch...

I was very anti-rubber until I actually tried on an OF. I have a "fake" OF which i put on my Daytona but it really feels awful compared to the original OF on my Skydweller. I politely disagree with the post above that it works better on SS. I find the OF offsets the PM weight brilliantly. i have a solid WG Pepsi and it really is a heavy watch and you're aware you're wearing it all the time. The YG Oysterflex is comfortable and I certainly wouldn't remove the cushions personally. They have been well designed and tested - as you'd expect from Rolex. I'd be interested to hear is someone has actually had the b***s to remove them? I'd imagine it would be far more uncomfortable IMHO. The more people who don't like OF, the quicker I'll get my WG Meteorite Daytona - thank you for helping me out :-)

Really sucks to hear about RSC being so uptight.

I had the 116655 for about 3 days and couldn’t get the OF perfect, so I traded it into a 126655 with glidelock, and it’s a real game changer. I also think the RG YM is an absolute killer, and IMO wears better and looks better than the OF daytonas.

The OF line of Daytonas and Skydwellers are getting really interesting and are a better buy than the PM on a bracelet I think. The dials of Daytonas with Ceramic bezel look more attractive and also it goes a little under the radar compared to the full gold watch. The rubber strap dials down the attention a bit. Hence more wearable. I would prefer the OF range for either the Daytona or the SkyDweller. On paper. But then it all dials down to the comfort of the OF, which is a personal thing.

The OF flaps are perfect. Besides stabilizing the watch, they are magic when you live in hot and humid weather. And i also like the fact that when you look at the watch sideways, there is no gap between the band your wrist at any point.
