Declined the SS white Skydweller politely and then offered a GMT TT CHNR !

I was offered to purchase a white Skydweller last week and paid a deposit to the AD so I could pay the remaining balance two weeks later when I’m back in my home country. So today I returned to the AD and informed him that I had changed my mind and that the Skydweller doesn’t really speak to me.

However instead of returning the funds, if he could kindly put me on the waiting list for the new GMT Rootbeer.

The manager tells me hold on and goes back. He returns a few minutes later and is holding a rolex watch coffin. It happened to be the new GMT rootbeer.

And OMG, isn’t that one beautiful watch ! It spoke to me much more than the BLNR has ever done.

I couldn’t let this one pass. I ended up paying less than what I would have paid in Europe (if I was lucky enough to be offered one) as I was given a great discount too !!!

This is my second Rolex with the same AD in the Middle East. Thank you to to the AD for being so awesome !

Can't wait to see it in the metal. If it looks this good in pictures, it's gotta be great. Congrats.

Love that watch, but would have had a hard time turning down a white Sky. But if the Sky Dweller didn't sing to you, you made a wise choice!

very nice. I think the SS SkyD is a harder watch to get, but if you like root beer it worked out for the best.

Congrats and welcome to our CHNR club. I totally get it as this was the watch that made my knees buckle. It looks pretty spectacular in a pic but when you see it, the pics don’t do it justice. Total stunner. Mine says hello.
