Well, on the bright side, soon you will forget the AD and start making memories with that beautiful and unique Rolex.

huh? why is that? You didn't mention anything discriminatory or humiliating in your original post.

Why did you buy the YM2 then? That's a lot of money to spend/give to a business where the experience was less than stellar

Care to elaborate a little. I was going to visit the store for the grand opening that I was invited to attend. Everyone says the store is very nice. Was it just pure arrogance on their part?

So, I have 3 ADs that I always buy from. I’m always got great treatment from them and they tell me upfront honesty what is the wait time and what to do to get the piece I want. That person tells me to build a relationship with them. So
I asked for the green sub after buying the YM2. The guy told me it is sold. Than I saw another forum member posting that he was offered the hulk. He walked in at the same time with me. Than I asked for a patek and the guy told me it is all pre-sold. Another post pop up that he and his wife got a patek without buying anything.

Now, how should I react. Should I feel humiliating or I’m being discriminated. Or should I feel that I’m an idiot to trust people too easily. If I decide to go to Vegas Crystal Center’s new AD, I might have got either a green submariner or a black steel Daytona.

Or, I should stop buying Rolex and Patek completely and start buying Audemars Piguet. No matter how much I love Rolex and Patek, I just can’t deal with the fact that I’m treat as an idiot.

Neither the green sub, black steel Daytona nor the patek is as rare as the GT2RS. I didn’t get bs from the rep who sells the GT2RS, why should I get humiliating from a watch that is less than 60k.

do you feel strong enough to return your YM2 (in protest), if allowed?

That's quite a turnaround in 36 hours. Sorry to hear you feel mistreated. I do understand.

I popped in there shortly after i saw this thread and had a great experience tbh.

I asked about all the rare pieces that are on display. On opening day they had a line of people waiting and some were able to snag high demand pieces according to them.
Many gut tells me they bought "leads" prior to opening in order to sell those but who knows.

I’m not having remorse over the purchase and I would like to complete my steel Rolex collection. It is how they treat me that pissed me off. Come on, I’m a not worthy client when I buy something from you versus someone who buys nothing will get what they want.

Going back to the GT2RS case, Porsche only make those build slot to clients who already owned Porsche and truly appreciated it.

That made me more depressed as I’m one of the idiot who wait on the line. I went there at 7:30 am to check it out when a fire truck goes inside that building. Than go there at 11 and one of the top guy greet me, than waiting in the cold until 12:30 for the grand opening.

This is REALLY DEPRESSING.

Favoritism at its best. Not much you can do about it.

Should have walked away and bought you 116680 elsewhere. The watch is one of the easier models to find around the world.

Based on what would they favorite someone?
This is why i believe they "bought leads" and presold those models.
A lot of the reps there came from tourneau

If you read this thread in the Patek forum, my "lead" theory is basically right.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=641834

Reps brought in their clients when they started working there

Some are not great, but i had a good experience with one location (one guy in perticular) and if i buy from tourneau i only buy through him.

As far as this specific store- i only spoke to one lady, and she was very helpful and friendly. She wasn't afraid to admit stuff she didn't know, and brought in a more knowledgeable person if needed.

I agreed that staying with Wempe is a better choice. At least the assistant manager really take care of me. I actually saw you in the Baselworld event at Wempe and I walked out after you if I’m not mistaken.

My client worked In AP boutique and I got the royal oak perpetual calender in blue face from them. I didn’t buy anything from them before and I got the call from her within the indicated time frame.

i would say you are lucky then because lots of people wait a long time for APs, especially basic ones like the 15400ST
