Modern: maybe next year for a steel Coke on Oyster, Platona, Smurf and DayDate in white gold black dial.

Vintage: Daytona 6263, Military Submariner 5517.

I’m a simple guy. A yellow gold Day Date would be all I need.
Maybe splurge on the Platinum with the ice blue dial, maybe even with the diamond stick markers. 36mm is fine.
One will be on the wrist before too long, though probably the yellow gold if I’m paying.

Yip...not the biggest fan of Daytona BUT,the platinum with blue dial, brown subdials and brown bezel is just something beautiful in the metal .

My Grail was a sub 16618; I loved the watch, but, it never lived up to my vision of the ultimate watch. However wis cool, it wasn't magical like I thought it would be. I actually sold it after a few years and paid off my macan. I think the journey is better than the resolution. At least in my case.

Not sure of the reference numbers but I'd say a YG DJ or DD on brown alligator/crocodile leather with YG tang buckle.

The one I already own in my avatar since I can afford it and it was available, but would gladly pay for a rainbow daytona all day long if I could get one directly from an AD. That thing is ridiculous and I have never owned a watch with any gems on it before.

Simple, the SS Pepsi for me. After that I'd like to get the Platinum DayDate with Diagonal Motif Dial and a YG Starburst dialed Blue sub. I think that that'll do.

I love these types of hypothetical questions! I currently own my two favorite watches...after that though, if money were no object, I would go with either the BLRO meteorite dial (can’t beleive I said that) or the Platona - I don’t love Daytona but the ice blue is unreal.

Minty 1655 or 1680 Red. Or a never polished 5513. Or Milsub, Comex.

Probably a platinum DD40 with deconstructed romans.
I really like what I already have though.

I “want” a lot of things. But at the end of the day, I’m probably close enough it makes no difference. Anything in addition is just excess.

This would be my pick, too. I already bought the Rolex I felt was the best balance between cost and overall wearability, which is the 116610LN. That had been my grail for years prior to acquiring it, so in that sense, I already have my dream Rolex. However, if I were to pick another, "sky's the limit" model from the brand, and I weren't worried about redundancy, then the YG blue Sub would be it - although the TT blue Sub is a heavy contender, too...just something about that blue and gold combo I love.

Great pic, by the way.
