You've saved up 3-4K. Saving another 2K opens up a whole lot more possibilities. If that's not possible, my pick would be the hesalite speedmaster or a Tudor, any BB or Pelagos, whatever sings to you the best.

You can't go wrong with either a Tudor or Omega. The Pelagos is one of my favorite watches and gets more wrist time than any of my Rolex.

If you want a Rolex, nothing else will scratch the itch. Save more for an OP or DJ, maybe a Explorer I or II.

If you want a nice watch, Tudor or Omega all day long.

Stay away from vintage for sure. Best advice I can give is try the watches on. Everyone gets so excited at how the watches look, they forget that you will actually be wearing the thing. What fits someone else may not fit you.

I would agree, I think nothing but the crown will satisfy the OP, so save a little more for an Oyster Perpetual 39mm, Explorer or smooth bezel Datejust 41mm. If you just can't wait then an Omega Speedmaster or Seamaster 300M are fabulous classics. As well, the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight is a great choice. Good luck in your search and enjoy the hunt. I'd get the Pelagos or the SMP 2018 and call it a day. I think rule of the thumb is if you're asking a question like this, you're not in the position to get an old watch like this, because the only reason you want one is it looks very similar to the new Rolex you like. It doesn't feel similar though.
