Explorer spotted in Valencia

Short trip to Valencia, passed an AD & an Explorer available as well as a bunch of 41mm DJ. Price of Explorer is €6000. Wife contemplating purchase. We went to lunch & if still there on the way back we'll pull the trigger.

If you have been thinking about getting a explorer go for it. It will be a nice reminder of the trip

I think it was called Duran. We still haven't gone back that way...not sure if I know the way back to find it

Every so often I go for a drive by some 40-60 Rolex ADs stores to see if I get lucky - the only sports Rolex I have seen somewhat available is the Explorer I
I wonder if this is proof of a non-desirable status ?

Managed to find the place....wife tried it on but decided to pass as €6000 was a bit too much over the £5000 price in UK. It's still sitting there as of 630pm local time.

The blue dial Datejust with the Jubilee was sexy as hell though. I was nearly tempted to get it for myself.

That's the problem though. Seeing an Explorer in the window of an AD in the uk right now is about as likely as seeing rocking horse sh!t

I have also seen also the Explorer 1 a few months ago on display in an AD. Maybe the most likely ‘hard to get’ model to show up.

Go for it if you like it!

I'm currently in Avignon, South of France and asked the local AD about Explorer availability and she said the hadn't had one for 8 months despite multiple requests per week.

If you see one I'd say grab it.
