AP RO Offshore Chrono Question

Quick question for the group. I apologize if everyone knows this except for me. On the AP Chrono, for the 30 minute sub dial, has anyone else noticed that it slowly creeps forward like a slow sweep hand, as opposed to waiting to the last second and jumping to the next minute (like a Daytona or most other chronos)? I saw this on an Offshore watch recently and I’m trying to figure out if that is standard design. It seems very smooth and purposeful, slowly moving forward throughout the minute it is timing. Thank you for the help. I apologize in advance this is a repeat question. I tried to look exhaustively and could not find information anywhere
