Unsure where to go from here
Hey everyone - a bit of a newcomer to AP, this would be my first piece from them.
It seems I'm close to being able to get a RO from my AD, but I'm having a tough time thinking about the size. I went down to a grey dealer, and tried on the 37mm, 39mm and 41mm variants. 37m felt a bit too small on my 6.7" wrist, while the 41mm felt huge. 39mm was perfect, much more appropriate in terms of size and thickness (I felt both the 37mm and 41mm were a bit clunky). The issue is it seems these are impossible to get, and I doubt I would be in the running for it. On top of that not a big fan of some of the features the piece is missing, despite the obvious historical significance of the watch. At this point I'm somewhat lost with what to do here. The biggest watch I have is a datejust ii 41mm which fits great, and the smallest is a 36m datejust - which is also comfortable. The RO overall felt very clunky for me, and between the 37mm and the 41mm not too sure which one to go for given both feel off on my wrists. I love the look and significance of this watch historically I would note, just wish it fit properly. Does this make any sense? Anyone feel the same? Is there a preferable one I should go with between the 37mm or 41mm? Or is it just that this watch is not for me?
