We all have our likes/dislikes, but personally I find the hacking feature to be the most meaningless and over-hyped feature on a mechanical watch.

It actually makes no sense. Why? Because even the very, very best mechanical watches in the world can lose a second or two a day, and voila ... your hack is gone.

I guess hacking might be important if you're a secret agent or in the military and you need that down-to-the-second precision matched to another time source. But if that were the case, you'd be using a digital or quartz timepiece, not a mechanical watch.
