EBAY purchase gone bad.
I thought the " Watch out " section would be best for this post.
I purchased a vintage Tudor Submariner on ebay last month. The watch had several fake parts including the bracelet and crown. I suspect other parts are fake as well, but have not confirmed this. I contacted the seller the day the package arrived, and noted the unacceptable condition of the item. He is not working with me. Since then, I have opened a " case " in ebay stating the item had fake parts, and was not as described, and that I expect a full refund. Several days later, there is no reply from the seller. I am confident that I will recover the funds, as I paid with paypal and used a credit card. I read I may be better off finding a third party to inspect the watch, and give a written statement on the items condition for the ebay case. Any thoughts on who may be able to do this ? My local Ad perhaps ? Local watchmaker ? Any vintage Tudor experts out there ? ( Washington state ) Thanks TRF |
