What should I buy? Advice please.

Hello,
I am a new member and I would like some advice.

I do not currently own a Rolex but I have owned 1 in the past.

I currently have "my watch" for sale in a consignment watch store. "My watch" was bought after I sold my business in the mid 90s. I bought a white gold Calatrava 3919 on a black leather strap. I thought it was the most perfect watch at the time however I now think it is a touch small and I have never been 100% comfortable with the watch - being white gold and all. It is a dress watch and I do not attend many "dress" type funcitons anymore.

As I was not getting enjoyment from the watch I have decided to sell the piece (through a friend who is a watch dealer) and buy 3 or 4 steel rolexes.

Money is a bit tight as business and employment have been very poor with the general economy being in the toilet. I want to buy 3 or 4 used rolex watches with the proceeds from the Patek. I hope to net about US$8500- from the Patek. I can add a bit of money if necessary.

My criteria is as follows:-
1) steel pieces
2) pieces to be at least 10 years old (to keep the price down)
3) I prefer sapphire crystal watches
4) don't care for papers or box but watches must be 100% genuine
5) I would like 1 of the watches to be an Explorer 1 (as I owned an explorer which I traded for (with a big amount of $) the patek 3919.

I look forward to getting some good opinions.
