Michael Young Experience with 1986 YG President Bracelet
I wanted to report on my experieince with MY. In a nutshell, it was excellent. He basically took a YG President bracelet that was toast and re-conditioned it to like new condition for $850. My local AD was quoting something like $14,000 for a new bracelet, and would barely touch the thing saying it was as streched as he'd ever seen (yah, right).
Background - this YG DD was my dads watch and he wore it everyday for 25 years. He passed in 2010 and the watch came to me. The bracelet was really streched. My local AD said it was scrap. I found MY's name on this forum along with some issues someone had back with him back in August. I figured I didn't have anything to lose so I sent it to him in January and he returned to me today (which was good considering the 10 day Chinese New Year was in there). He advised me it was ready on Saturday and it arrived today - which was also really fast. The job he did is incredible - it is basically like a newer band with very little strecth. Below are before and after pictures. If you have a YG president band that needs restoration, this is the guy to do it. Highest recommendation for Michael Young!!! Good quick communication and excellent work. Before: And after: |
