Oysterdate precision model 6694 gold plate
I have had this watch for a while, but hadn't had a chance to really LOOK at it, until today.
when the 6694 was released in 1959, it was released in SS, RG and YG plate, then only SS from 1970. I took the case back off and removed the straps and found something I was not expecting, marked between the lugs at 12 was the model number, but between the lugs at 6 is .K.B. 40, on the case back the KB is repeated and 40 micron, I could not read a serial number between the lugs, although i think I can see something that has been worn off, I did find a number on the cal 1215 movement, the final, piece of the puzzle is the "Swiss" dial, which I believe was changed to "Swiss T <25" in 1960, any information or comments would be most welcome ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360089694.528189.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360089712.220189.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360089733.422656.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360089760.753298.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360089786.102959.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
