Hey, Leo. This evening is our school's 4th grade "Taste of the States" event. Each student is assigned a state to research and choose a food item that will be brought to school for parents and kids to taste. June selected Illinois. She suggested bringing pierogies but I wasn't sure how to make them. So we agreed on Chi-town hot dogs. If I remember to get a pic, I'll take one for you and you can see how (if!) they turned out. Luckily my favorite butcher knows all about them and supplied me the proper ingredients (sport peppers, bright green relish, and kosher dills - and of course, the dogs!)
