3573.50 was magnetized!

Guys,

You aren't going to believe this (well maybe you are). My speedy was running +45sec/day fast. The chrono was advancing automatically to the 5 second indice when the pusher was depressed and it was hard to wind. Which lead me to believe my "certified pre-owned" Speedy from Tourneau (yes I know, should've bought from TRF, was a good deal) was in need of a service or overhaul.

However, upon taking to the service dept at Tourneau, it was determined that my speedy was magnetized! They demagnetized it, it's now running +8-10sec/day with an amplitude of 317. And the chrono feature works again. I validated the timing against atomic time.

No idea how it go magnetized, but wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience?
