F1 sponsorship and product placement

I am watching the end of the F1 race where we all know that Rolex is the official timekeeper. It was VERY interesting to see on the Mercedes team:

1. There is an IWC wrist watch drawn/stamped/printed on the driver's left glove, clearly visible during the race.

2. Mercedes drivers won 1 and 2, bot were given IWC watches as they took their gear off just prior to taking the podium.

At least to me, first time I see this, I liked the 'glove' thing.
