Swap out the Tudor for a Rolex?
So I purchased a Tudor Glamour Date 36mm a couple of months ago at an AD. It was an impulse purchase, it just caught my eye while I was looking at the Black Bay.
I wore it for a while and liked it much more than I thought. The 36mm dimensions feel really good on my wrist, and I kind of appreciate the change of pace in both size and look from my Sub. I've always liked that Rolex Oyster "look", and having established the comfort of the 36mm size, I've been thinking of swapping it out and getting a Datejust or Oyster Perpetual. If I do that the Tudor has to go, since I doubt it'll get any wrist time. But I'm also kind of stepping back and wondering if I'm looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I like the Tudor, besides the obvious (movement difference) I don't find much to fault with it in terms of fit and finish compared to a Rolex. Plus since I already have a Sub, it does give a nice diversity in terms of having a Rolex and a Tudor. And instead I could apply the extra funds to getting a dress watch instead. Anyways, what do you guys think? Flip the Tudor and get a OP/DJ? Or keep and look for a dress watch? Here's a quick pic of my duo: |
