OP: I'd say Sub and the lume is probably the biggest reason. But if you are set on an IWC I'd suggest the Yacht Club Chronograph. That's closer to the Sub in the Portugieser family. Though the Aquatimer line is their version of dive watches so from a diving tool perspective you should be shopping there.

Still ETA but the Chronograph Classic has an in-house movement.
