How much do Scratches suck on GOLD?

I was talking with my trusty AD yesterday and he was sporting a two-tone Sub, blue face, really nice. The one comment he made to me was that the gold oyster bracelet really gets scratched up easily as compared to all SS. For those of you who have both two-tone and all SS, how bad does the fact that gold is softer suck?

I'm sure most of you will say you just take it in stride and enjoy the watch, great. But do you actually notice that the gold scratches WAY easier and looks way more scuffed up after wearing it a while? Or does it just look even more awesome as the years go on...
