Vintage Rolex Submariner 5513 - Meters First - 1967 - $8,600

Hello,

Thank you for looking at one of my favorite time pieces in my collection with incredible documentation. It’s a late 1960’s 2.0 million serial number estimated at 1967 Rolex 5513 Meters First Submariner, in unbelievable condition. Incredibly well documented and currently under service warranty from Rolex. There are a number of details you need to know about this watch so here we go.
  • This Rolex has original dial, hands, and movement from 1960s
  • Originally serial numbers was in the 2 millions as documentation shows
  • In 2003 the watch was sent to Rolex service and the watch was re-cased at a cost of over $1k as the original case was too worn to seal. It included all new case, case back, crown, and bezel.
  • A new serial number (the current one) was re-assigned from the replacement case in the 4.4 million. If you do research you will find this is completely accurate for a Rolex replacement case
  • I purchased the watch with an original Rolex C&I bracelet from 1978 in excellent condition (it will also be included)
  • Also included in an original vintage Tropic strap and buckle, currently on watch
  • While in Japan on a business trip in May 2015 I purchased a new old stock 93150 bracelet directly from the Rolex corporation at a cost of over $1,200 ( I will include it)
  • In September of 2015 I had the watch serviced at a cost of over $1,100. A new acrylic crystal and updated crown were installed as well as the movement serviced.
  • Earlier this year I had a custom Gunny leather NATO strap made for this watch. (I will include it)

This watch is in nearly new shape with incredible documentation. I have all service and purchase receipts since 2003. Is the watch all original parts from the 1960s, no, but it is all Rolex, YES, and it is in like new condition and still under warranty, amazing for a watch from the 1960s. In the sale is all documentation and service packaging from 2003 and 2015, as well as information from when I purchased bracelet from Rolex in Tokyo.

Please email me if you have any questions, you will not be disappointed with this watch. mjsteve@umich.edu
