At the Movies

A man with a parrot on his shoulder goes to the movies.
When the showing is over, a woman comes up to the two, curious about a few things.
She says, "During the film, I couldn't help but notice the two of you, and it really seemed as though your parrot was enjoying the movie, like he actually understood what was going on. He looked around during the boring parts. He paid close attention to the dramatic parts. He even squawked during the funny parts. I don't understand how that can be."
The man replied, "I'll be honest, I don't understand it either. He didn't care for the book at all."
