Latest addition, now making 3...
So I have here, 3 that are dear... all bought recently, after completing what I call the "watch voyage". Now I'm very close to being at the end of my journey - and until the last couple of tweeks can be made, this is where I stand...
The omega SMP 300 The one that started it all... The 1120 cal "bond" (tho not the same colour), that was my original "must have" swiss watch. Even before I knew the difference between automatic and quartz... I recall 20 years ago , finishing university, saying : that is what I'll buy with my first pay check... Ironically, the last to be reacquired: Its got great presence, and for sheer bang for your buck - its a good buy. My work/gym or less fussy piece. The rolex 14060 submariner To me the definition of rolex. A true wearer... Again I've had a few permutations of this guy - but ultimately this one was the original "rolex for me". It was an obsession and a milestone, Now reacquired... Its not so old that its become delicate in anyway, and its not so new that it's original lines are diluted. The audemars piguet 15202st Of all the (currently attainable) holy Trinity, this one reference sung the loudest to me. I honestly preferred it to the 5711, and couldn't when spending that kind of money, get something I "understood was the best"... So I got the one " I felt, was the best". There's a tweek or two in the pipeline... But waiting lists and luck being what they are - this is my stable for now! Hope you can see the love! |
