Is this a real Datejust or FAKE? Experts please help
Hey guys, just looking for some help with a potential purchase here needing to know if this is genuine or fake, the condition of the watch is obviously bad but it looks fixable. the listing seems a little dodgy. Be sure to check out the pictures.
heres what he says about it: "This Auction is for a ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST 18K DIAMOND DIAL WATCH. This watch needs a good professional clean as it looks to have been worn a lot or put in some place with a lot of gryme, also has some scuffs on the glass that would need to be buffed out and the winder knob has fell off and will need to be replaced. I took this to a jeweler and he said he believes this to be the real deal but it will need over $1000 spent on it to get it cleaned and fully serviced, buff out the scuff marks on the glass and the winder knob is around $700 to replace on its own as they are made from gold. I cant afford to do this so I'm selling it as is. The jeweler also told me that once its all fixed it a $7000-$8000 watch and it has all the markings of a Rolex. I'm looking for a quick sale as Christmas is coming up and would love to go on a vacation and pay some bills. I was going to save up and get it fixed myself but cant manage to get enough money together so its up for grabs. I cant guarantee it is 100% Rolex but from what the jeweler told me it is. that is why I have done such a low reserve. AS IS condition. I would not list this If I believed it to be fake." thank you all for your time. |
