A Very Special Double Incoming
**The following is based on true events:
I'm not really one for fanfare and spotlights and don't think I've ever actually done an "incoming" thread, but this time it's special, so I'd like to share my joy. I can be long winded so I'll just bullet point the details to make it short so you can enjoy some pics. •Discovered TRF and have been through about five Rolexes •Very tough few years •Met the love of my life •Sold all my watches to help with real life •Things got better •Got married •Celebrated my anniversary by treating the Mrs to a nice DJ while on vacation in Barcelona •Wifey has followed my love for watches with interest and gave the go ahead, which I wasn't expecting as I have a few responsible things to still consider •The new Basel releases have been very elusive and I wanted the D-Blue •Literally at the last possible minute my AD called and told me the watch was in(OMG). •Now I'm in heaven. Mostly because the wife has started to really love watches with me as everything else, she is my soul mate. Now we are both looking at our next duo...we are both crazy about the new Pepsi and she surprisingly likes the Bluesy. So on the list, hopefully by spring 2019. The watches... Her DJ is absolutely stunning. I never cared for the jubilee but after seeing it on her and handling it first hand, it's quite gorgeous and comfortable, and for the ocd folks, it hides scratches like no other. I cannot stop looking at her diamond dial. The silver fluctuates in color and plays in light like I've never seen. It's truely a stunner, which is what made me like the Pepsi, without a jubilee it would not be even considered. She of course loves it to death. The Beast. Wowwww! I have owned the Deepsea twice and sold it twice. Both times for being "too big". It's all in my head. I've always missed it so I had to celebrate my new beginnings with none other than the D-Blue. There is a difference in feel from the 116660. The watch is more balanced and the bracelet and glidelock have changed slightly. I can't pin point the difference but will look forward to see what the community discovers as they compare them side by side. I took three links out of my previous Deepseas, this one only required removal of one, on the 6 side. More to follow in a review later. Needles to say, I'm very fortunate for what God has given me. No matter what these two aren't going anywhere. There is a flipping disease you can contract when you first join because you realize through the forum that the one you don't have is somehow better than the one you do. I'm honestly cured. As my wife and I look at all your beautiful photos in the forum, she says...ohhh that one is sooooo beautiful, the Hulk's(yeah she says hulk lol) dial is stunning... I tell her, babe, they're all stunning and beautiful, I don't think Rolex makes an ugly watch, but you just have to pick the ones you want and just enjoy the rest in photos,.. Unless you're Connor, Seth, Tyler or a few of you other heavy hitters. Thank you for your patience, hopefully you enjoy the pics. Glod bless... Sent by Diffusion using Tapatalk |
