The SD4k, 116600, is incredible -- INCOMING
One of the trusted sellers here talked me into giving the 116600 a shot (took a lot of arm twisting, I tell ya -- NOT ). I resisted initially, because prior to wearing this one I was never really interested in the Sea Dweller line (any reference).
But after wearing this for a few days, I'm a changed man. It checks so many boxes. And the little details of this particular reference that differentiate it from the Sub really seem perfect to me -- such as the full minute markers on the bezel, matte dial, and slimmed down lugs/crown guards. I thought the extra thickness would be an issue, but it wears so similarly to a 114060 in terms of thickness. In fact, it almost wears like a 5-digit due to the slimmer lugs. And of course with the glidelock clasp, getting a comfortable fit is a cinch. Plus, there's something empowering about wearing a watch that is built like a tank. This might just be the most underrated modern Rolex, at least in my lowly opinion. I don't see this one leaving the wrist anytime soon. |
