Icon20 My Dilemma - 36mm RO vs 39mm RO

Hey Guys,
Looking to buy my first AP, a royal oak. Now I've read a lot that the 39mm AP's wear more like 42s. I have roughly a 7inch wrist and I prefer medium sized watches. I currently wear a JLC master control which is 39mm, but its a dress watch. I recently saw an AP RO Chrono (39mm) and it looked huge on its wearer's wrist. I was thing that a D-series RO 36mm like the 14790ST or the 15730 (dual time) would be a better fit but I'm not sure. Would really be grateful if someone could shed light on this.
